Effect of Magnetic Field on Corrosion Behavior of X52 Pipeline Steel in Simulated Soil Solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2021
Magnetic flux leakage detection is the primary method used for detecting metal damage in oil and gas pipelines. After a magnetic flux leakage test is used, a residual magnetic field remains in the steel pipeline for a long time.

Enhancing Wire-Rope Damage Signals Based on a Radial Magnetic Concentrator Bridge Circuit

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Hall-effect sensors are used for the non-destructive testing of wire ropes owing to their low power consumption and high operation frequency. The high-speed operation of wire ropes causes vibration inclination at different frequencies, which makes it ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.
