A Novel Defect Detection Method for Overhead Ground Wire

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Overhead ground wires typically have strong axial tension and are prone to structural defects caused by corrosion and lightning strikes, which could lead to serious safety hazards.

Detection of 40-48 GHz dust continuum linear polarization towards the Class 0 young stellar object IRAS 16293-2422

open access: yes, 2018
We performed the new JVLA full polarization observations at 40-48 GHz (6.3-7.5 mm) towards the nearby ($d$ $=$147$\pm$3.4 pc) Class 0 YSO IRAS 16293-2422, and compare with the previous SMA observations reported by Rao et al. (2009; 2014). We observed the

M82 - A radio continuum and polarisation study II. Polarisation and rotation measures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The composition and morphology of the interstellar medium in starburst galaxies has been well investigated, but the magnetic field properties are still uncertain. The nearby starburst galaxy M82 provides a unique opportunity to investigate the mechanisms

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Development of a MFL system with optical positioning for ferromagnetic plate inspection

open access: yese-Journal of Nondestructive Testing
This paper presents the development of a Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) based system for non-destructive testing of ferromagnetic plates. Our approach integrates a magnetic circuit using neodymium-iron-boron magnets, a Hall effect sensor for flux ...

Phase-Extraction-Based MFL Testing for Subsurface Defect in Ferromagnetic Steel Plate

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) based on phase extraction for detecting the subsurface defects in ferromagnetic steel plate was investigated. The relationship between electromagnetic field phase and the subsurface defect was analyzed.

A Signal Filtering Method for Magnetic Flux Leakage Detection of Rail Surface Defects Based on Minimum Entropy Deconvolution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Swarm Intelligence Research, 2023
Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) detection of rail surface defects is an important research field for railway traffic safety. Due to factors such as magnetization and material, it can generate background noise and reduce detection accuracy.

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Parsec-scale magnetic fields in Arp 220 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present the first very-long-baseline interferometry (VLBI) detections of Zeeman splitting in another galaxy. We used Arecibo Observatory, the Green Bank Telescope, and the Very Long Baseline Array to perform dual-polarization observations of OH maser ...

Influence of curvature radius on the axial crack signal of the magnetic flux leakage detection for tapered roller bearing rings

open access: yesFrontiers of Physics, 2023
Tapered roller bearings are widely used in heavy machinery, railway transportation, aviation, and other fields. Their quality and reliability are related to the operational safety of mechanical equipment.
