3D Finite Element Analysis for Magnetic Flux Leakage Testing
Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) is a non-destructive testing method used to inspect ferrous materials. However, apparatus parameters could affect the MFL inspection tool’s ability to characterize anomalies.

The MFL technique – Basic application for PT cable break detection in concrete structures
From the beginning of building techniques creating pre-stressed and accordingly post-tensioned concrete structures until the late 1980ies manufacturers and construction companies dealt with pre-stressing steel material vulnerable to stress corrosion ...

Topological insulator–metamaterials integrated with electrically driven terahertz quantum cascade lasers enable parity‐dependent harmonic generation. Bulk‐dominated Bi2Se3 favors third‐harmonic emission at 9.96 THz, whereas topological‐surface‐state‐dominated Bi2Se3, Bi2Te3, and (Bi,Sb)2Te3 generate strong second harmonics near 6.5 THz.

Programmable Carrier‐Free All‐Enzyme Beads for Modular Continuous‐Flow Biocatalysis
Genetically encoded enzyme building blocks self‐assemble into monodisperse, carrier‐free protein beads via a droplet‐based formulation strategy. These programmable catalytic particles enable modular continuous‐flow biocatalysis, from single‐enzyme reactions to multi‐enzyme cascades and bead–bead coupled reactor systems.

An intentionally added, chemically formed LixAlSy coating stabilizes the lithium–electrolyte interface in solid‐state Li–S batteries. The layer suppresses side reactions, preserves smooth charge transfer, and improves ion transport from the start. This approach offers a practical route to more durable solid‐state batteries and a clearer understanding ...
