The formation of nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) was investigated in this study, carrying out immersion tests for 30 min at a temperature of 1600°C with liquid high‐silicon electrical steel (Si ≈ 3 mass‐%) and different MgO–C refractories. Conventional MgO–C refractories were considered, as well as MgO–C refractories containing MgO–C recyclate and ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Effect of liquid on the magnetic force microscope imaging [PDF]
It is known that when the probe vibrating in liquid, the oscillation of the cantilever is significantly damped by the interaction forces between the water molecular and the probe surface, which is known as the hydration force. Thus, the parameters of a tapping magnetic probe are significantly affected.

Influence of nano-VC on the structural and magnetic properties of MnAlC-alloy
Alloys of Mn55Al45C2 with additions of VC nano-particles have been synthesized and their properties evaluated. The Mn55Al45C2(VC) x (x = 0.25, 0.5 and 1) alloys have been prepared by induction melting resulting in a high content of the ferromagnetic τ ...

Quantitative MRFM characterization of the autonomous and forced dynamics in a spin transfer nano-oscillator [PDF]
Using a magnetic resonance force microscope (MRFM), the power emitted by a spin transfer nano-oscillator consisting of a normally magnetized Py$|$Cu$|$Py circular nanopillar is measured both in the autonomous and forced regimes.
