Phase-Controlled Force and Magnetization Oscillations in Superconducting Ballistic Nanowires
The emergence of superconductivity-induced phase-controlled forces in the (0.01-0.1) nN range, and of magnetization oscillations, in nanowire junctions, is discussed.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Microstructural evolution of paramagnetic materials by magnetic freeze casting
External magnetic fields were applied during the process of directional solidification to control the microstructural patterning of ceramic scaffolds formed by freezing colloidal mixtures of magnetic and paramagnetic particles. Under low magnetic fields (

Dynamic magnetic imaging by alternating force magnetic force mmicroscopy
Recently, magnetic force microscope (MFM) for dynamic imaging of AC magnetic field has attracted considerable attention due to its potential applications and special requirements in industry. In this paper, we develop an alternating force MFM technique based on the frequency modulation of MFM tip oscillation, which provides a powerful tool for the ...

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Evolution of Magnetic Fields in Freely Decaying Magnetohydrodynamic Turbulence
We study the evolution of magnetic fields in freely decaying magnetohydrodynamic turbulence. By quasi-linearizing the Navier-Stokes equation, we solve analytically the induction equation in quasi-normal approximation.
