Path integral quantization of the magnetic top
Abstract The magnetic top which is a realistic canonical model for quantum spin is quantized here by path integral methods. We determine the propagator and the wave functions in the space of Euler angles.

Clinical magnetic hyperthermia requires integrated magnetic particle imaging [PDF]
AbstractMagnetic nanomaterials that respond to clinical magnetic devices have significant potential as cancer nanotheranostics. The complexities of their physics, however, introduce challenges for these applications. Hyperthermia is a heat‐based cancer therapy that improves treatment outcomes and patient survival when controlled energy delivery is ...

Cortical plasticity of audio-visual object representations [PDF]
Several regions in human temporal and frontal cortex are known to integrate visual and auditory object features. The processing of audio–visual (AV) associations in these regions has been found to be modulated by object familiarity.

Extending a commercial preclinical MPI scanner into an MPI-MFH platform using a hyperthermia insert
Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) and magnetic fluid hyperthermia (MFH) have the potential of being integrated in a single device to allow for seamless switching between imaging and therapeutic modes. In an MPI-MFH platform, the field free region of an MPI

Solenoidal transformers for magnetic materials integration [PDF]
This paper presents the design, fabrication and characterization of suspended solenoidal transformers fabricated using a low cost single step 3D copper electroplating process. The design and optimization of solenoidal transformers with and without magnetic core are performed using HFSS.

Oscillating magnetic field disrupts magnetic orientation in Zebra finches, Taeniopygia guttata
Background Zebra finches can be trained to use the geomagnetic field as a directional cue for short distance orientation. The physical mechanisms underlying the primary processes of magnetoreception are, however, largely unknown.

A Benchmark of Integrated Magnetometers and Magnetic Gradiometers
This survey paper compiles and benchmarks the performance of integrated magnetic sensors, in terms of their noise and full-scale magnetic field. In total, we collected performance metrics of 31 sensors realized in various technologies. For each sensor, we derived a noise model to estimate the noise under the same conditions. We obtained a comprehensive
