Magnetically levitated transportation

Cryogenics, 1971
Abstract Magnetic levitation by means of mutual repulsion between a travelling superconductive magnet and induced eddy currents is explained. Schemes involving different configurations of magnet and ground conductor along with methods of obtaining the lift and drag forces are given.

Magnetic levitation

2015
The paper deals with magnetism and its influence on superconducting materials. We describe the discovery and development of superconductivity, superconducting levitation and its use in future technology - called. MAGLEV speed trains. We show the interaction of the magnetic field of a strong neodymium magnet and high-temperature superconductor, cooled ...

Magnetic levitation of liquid helium

Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1996
We report on the stable levitation of liquid helium drops of up to 2 cm diameter in a magnetic trap at temperatures down to 1.5 K in the earth's gravitational field. The production and properties of a magnetic trap for diamagnetic materials is discussed.
