Development of Noncontact Active Magnetic Levitation System Without Magnetic Guidance on Guideway
In this study, we proposed a novel active magnetic levitation (maglev) system to realize next-generation maglev transportation. The main feature of the proposed maglev system does not require magnetic guidance on guideway.

Consideration on bent magnetic levitation apparatus for thin steel plate
In the transport system of a thin steel plate production line, there is a problem that the quality of the plate surface deteriorates over time because the plate is usually in contact with rollers.

Quantum Hall effect at low magnetic fields
The temperature and scale dependence of resistivities in the standard scaling theory of the integer quantum Hall effect is discussed. It is shown that recent experiments, claiming to observe a discrepancy with the global phase diagram of the quantum Hall

Optimized production of a cesium Bose-Einstein condensate
We report on the optimized production of a Bose-Einstein condensate of cesium atoms using an optical trapping approach. Based on an improved trap loading and evaporation scheme we obtain more than $10^5$ atoms in the condensed phase.

Experimental performance investigation of a novel magnetic levitation system
This paper deals with the design, construction, and especially the testing of a new magnetic levitation (maglev) train driven by an air-cored tubular linear induction motor. The proposed new design topology uses only one force-generating system (motor) to produce the three forces required in a maglev system: propulsion, levitation, and guidance ...
