Loss estimation of magnetic gears
Electrical Engineering, 2019Reduction in losses is essential for the efficiency enhancement of magnetic gears. In this paper, the power losses of a coaxial magnetic gear are estimated, based on a developed convenient approach for loss analysis using a time-dependent finite element model.

Critical behaviour of magnetic losses
Physica Status Solidi (a), 1974The critical exponent γ of the complex susceptibility χ = χ′ – iχ″ was measured in the temperature range 5 × 10−5 ≦ ϵ = |T – Tc|Tc ≦ 10−2 at frequencies between 0.1 and 20 kHz in a field of 5 mOe for very pure polycrystalline nickel. For the real part at zero frequency χ′(0) = χo(0)ϵ–γ and T > Tc γ = 1.41 ± 0.02 is obtained and χ′o(0) = (3.4 ± 0.8 ...

Flux loss in nanocomposite magnets
IEEE International Magnetics Conference, 1999The irreversible flux loss due to exposure to an elevated temperature was evaluated systematically for nanocomposite magnets with various coercivity values. It was found that the short-term and long-term flux losses in some nanocomposite magnets are smaller than in a conventional isotropic Nd-Fe-B magnet despite their small coercivity values.

New Magnetic Core Loss Comparator
Journal of Applied Physics, 1958A new method has been developed for the rapid measurement of magnetic flux density and power loss in single sheet steel specimens. In use the sheet specimen is inserted into an exciting unit which generates an ac magnetomotive force to provide the required flux density.
