Machine Tool with Active Magnetic Guides

CIRP Annals, 2004
Abstract High speed and high dynamic machining strategies require specific solutions for the components. The limits for speed and accuracy mainly depend on the machine structure, the drives and the guides. In this paper the development of a new high speed machining centre with actively controlled linear magnetic guides will be presented.

Electric Machine Design Tool for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

2019 Fourteenth International Conference on Ecological Vehicles and Renewable Energies (EVER), 2019
Since various machine parameters of existing electric machines are subject to confidentiality agreements of manufacturers, machine data sheets are often incomplete, making an accurate simulation and validation of machine design tools difficult but inevitable.

Linear Magnetic Bearing and Levitation System for Machine Tools

CIRP Annals, 1998
Abstract Magnetic bearings work without abrasion, (static) friction and attrition while providing the highest possible travel velocity and acceleration. Consequently magnetic bearings could be ideal guideways for high-speed machine tools. This paper describes a new linear magnetic bearing system suitable for machine tools.

Ultrasonic Machining Aided Tool Rotation of Sintered NdFeB Magnet

Key Engineering Materials, 2007
A new kind of ultrasonic machining method named ultrasonic machining aided tool rotation is proposed for sintered NdFeB permanent magnet. In the process abrasive slurry enters the machining area through holes in the rotary tool which can assure the grains easily enter the machining surface slurry.

Ultrasonic Machining Aided Tool Rotation of Sintered NdFeB Magnet

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
A new kind of ultrasonic machining is proposed for sintered NdFeB permanent magnet. Experiments were carried out on self-made equipment. Test results showed that the MRR would increase with the amplitude of tool, static load and the size of abrasive grain at certain range.
