Amorphous microwires with enhanced magnetic softness and GMI characteristics

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
In this paper we present results on correlation of GMI effect and soft magnetic behavior in Co-rich microwires with low magnetostriction constant. Correlation between magnetoelastic anisotropy and magnetic field dependences of diagonal and off-diagonal ...

Structural and Magnetic Properties of “Thick” Microwires Produced by the Ulitovsky-Taylor Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The structural and magnetic physical properties of initial and annealed Co-rich microwires in a glass shell with the diameter D = 70-125 μm and the diameter of the amorphous metallic core d = 70-95 μm, produced by the Ulitovsky–Taylor method, have been

Investigation of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and room temperature skyrmions in W/CoFeB/MgO thin films and microwires

open access: yes, 2017
Recent studies have shown that material structures, which lack structural inversion symmetry and have high spin-orbit coupling can exhibit chiral magnetic textures and skyrmions which could be a key component for next generation storage devices.

Magnetic properties of Fe-based amorphous magnetic microwires

open access: yesMoldavian Journal of the Physical Sciences, 2017
The magnetic characteristics of Fe-based cast amorphous glass-coated microwires (with a positive magnetostriction constant) have been studied. The residual stress distributions in this type of microwires determine the domain structures and the switching field behavior.

Magnetic Properties of Co-Fe-Si-B Microwires

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica A, 2017
In the paper the magneto-impedance effect in the Co68:15Fe4:35Si12:55B15 microwire with diameter of about 100 m is carefully studied. The measurements in close contact and contactless geometry were carried out in the static field ranging from 0 to 6 kA/m and frequencies of the alternating field from 20 Hz to 2 MHz.

Giant magnetoimpedance effect at GHz frequencies in amorphous microwires

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
Studies of magnetic properties and GMI effect of amorphous Co-Fe rich microwires reveal that they present GMI effect at GHz frequencies. Magnetic field dependences of GMI effect are affected by the post-processing conditions.

The Effect of High-Temperature Annealing on the Magnetic and Structural Properties of (MnFePSi)-Based Glass-Coated Microwires

open access: yesCrystals
In this paper, the impact of annealing at different temperatures (973 K, 1073 K, and 1123 K for 1 h) on the magnetic and microstructural properties of MnFePSi-based glass-coated microwires is studied.
