The archetypal high temperature superconductor Bi₂Sr₂CaCu₂O[subscript[8+δ]] has been extensively investigated. However, until now, little has been known about the behaviour of the magnetic vortices inside the Vortex Glass and liquid state.

Modeling the Shape of Axisymmetric Skyrmions in Magnetic Multilayers
International audienceWe present a comprehensive micromagnetic model of isolated axisymmetric skyrmions in magnetic multilayers with perpendicular anisotropy. Most notably, the essential role of the internal dipolar field is extensively considered with a

Growth and characterisation of uranium multilayers.
This thesis investigates the extents of the 5f-3d and 5f-4f electronic interactions in U/Fe, U/Co and U/Gd thin films, where electronic hybridisation effects are expected to influence the magnetism of the U 5f states.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Effects of Magnetostatic Interactions in FeNi-Based Multilayered Magnetoimpedance Elements
Multilayered [Cu(3 nm)/FeNi(100 nm)]5/Cu(150 nm)/FeNi(10 nm)/Cu(150 nm)/FeNi(10 nm)/Cu(150 nm)/[Cu(3 nm)/FeNi(100 nm)]5 structures were obtained by using the magnetron sputtering technique in the external in-plane magnetic field.

Interlayer segregation in magnetic multilayers and its influence on exchange coupling
Experimental results show that the exchange coupling field (H-ex) of NiFe/FeMn for Ta/NiFe/FeMn/Ta multilayers is higher than that for spin-valve multilayers Ta/NiFe/Cu/NiFe/FeMn/Ta.

Magnetic multilayers: spin configurations, excitations and giant magnetoresistance
The authors discuss some of the fundamental properties unique to magnetic multilayers. Complex spin configurations are examined for many different systems and are shown to arise from a simple competition between exchange and Zeeman energies.
