Optical analog of Rabi oscillation suppression due to atomic motion
The Rabi oscillations of a two-level atom illuminated by a laser on resonance with the atomic transition may be suppressed by the atomic motion through averaging or filtering mechanisms. The optical analogs of these velocity effects are described.

A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...

From kink instability to magnetic reconnection to oscillations in solar flares
We show how some different fundamental plasma processes - the ideal kink instability, magnetic reconnection and magnetohydrodynamic oscillations - can be causally linked.

Three-minute Sunspot Oscillations Driven by Magnetic Reconnection in a Light Bridge
We report a different type of three-minute chromospheric oscillations above a sunspot in association with a small-scale impulsive event in a light bridge. During our observations, we found a transient brightening in the light bridge.

Coherent Spin Oscillations in a Disordered Magnet [PDF]
Most materials freeze when cooled to sufficiently low temperature. We find that magnetic dipoles randomly distributed in a solid matrix condense into a spin liquid with spectral properties on cooling that are the diametric opposite of those for conventional glasses.

Kinetic Regimes of Hydrogen Absorption in Thin Films
Knowledge of the hydrogen incorporation mechanisms in thin layers in relation to the amount absorbed is essential to design coatings and devices compatible with hydrogen‐based technologies. A combination of simultaneous in situ methods gives detailed insight into the hydrogenation of a prototypical hydrogen absorber layer in a time‐dependent manner ...

Influence of the Inverse Faraday Effect on Switching and Oscillations of Magnetization in Single-Domain Nanoparticles [PDF]
We have performed a numerical simulation of magnetization switching and oscillations in a ferromagnetic single-domain particle in the disk form under the influence of nanosecond laser pulses with linear and circular polarization.

Coulomb Oscillations of Indium-doped ZnO Nanowire Transistors in a Magnetic Field
We report on the observation of Coulomb oscillations from localized quantum dots superimposed on the normal hopping current in ZnO nanowire transistors. The Coulomb oscillations can be resolved up to 20 K.

Assembly of Cell‐Seeded 3D Printed Hydrogel Modules with Perfusable Channel Networks
Macroscale assembly was utilized to prepare perfusable tissue constructs from individually 3D printed hydrogel modules with embedded branched channel networks and port arrays for cell seeding. Novel multi‐material bioreactors were fabricated to facilitate the gluing of individual modules and the perfusion culture of assembled modular constructs seeded ...
