Particle interactions and their effect on magnetic particle imaging and spectroscopy [PDF]
AbstractTracer and thus signal stability is crucial for an accurate diagnosis via magnetic particle imaging (MPI). However, MPI-tracer nanoparticles frequently agglomerate during their in vivo applications leading to particle interactions. Here, we investigate the influence of such magnetic coupling phenomena on the MPI signal.

Probing particle-matrix interactions during magnetic particle spectroscopy
Abstract Interactions between magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) and their surrounding matrix were investigated during temperature-controlled magnetic particle spectroscopy (MPS). MNPs are used as tracers in emerging biomedical imaging technologies, including magnetic particle imaging (MPI), which employ spatially inhomogeneous time-varying magnetic ...

Introducing a frequency-tunable magnetic particle spectrometer
Image quality in the new imaging modality magnetic particle imaging (MPI) heavily relies on the quality of the magnetic nanoparticles in use. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the behaviour of such particles.
