Studies of magnetic relaxation phenomena are important for understanding the properties of magnetic materials, and Mossbauer spectroscopy has contributed much to the elucidation of the magnetic dynamics in solids. In experimental studies of relaxation phenomena, the time scale of the experimental technique is a crucial parameter, because it determines ...

A Review of New Magnetic Phenomena
Bell System Technical Journal, 1953At a result of new developments, the classical concepts of magnetic materials, characterized by hysteresis loss and eddy currents, are no longer adequate. Study of the ferrites has revealed new and important magnetic phenomena. These materials, because of their high resistivities and correspondingly low eddy currents, exhibit useful magnetic properties

Quantum chaos in magnetic phenomena
2005Two subjects of quantum mechanics are discussed in magnetic systems which exhibit the dynamical chaos in the classical limit: (1) quantum dynamics of pulsed spin systems; (2) quantum mesoscopic billiards in a magnetic field, the shall examine salient aspects of complicated quantum diffusion and those of irregular energy spectra.

Magnetic Relaxation and Resonance Phenomena
1981There are numerous frequency-dependent effects associated with the magnetic properties of solids. Since it is impossible to deal with all of these within the scope of this volume, we have chosen paramagnetic relaxation and nuclear magnetic resonance as particular examples in order to illustrate certain aspects of these phenomena.

Magnetic phenomena as observed in ferromagnetism
2018The object of this thesis is to make a resume of the experimental and theoretical results which have been obtained in the study of ferromagnetic substances, and to suggest what lines of investigation are most promising for the immediate future. In order that the results to be described shall be clearly understood and their significance appreciated, a ...
