Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Prostate cancer multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging visibility is a tumor-intrinsic phenomena
Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) is an emerging standard for diagnosing and prognosing prostate cancer, but ~ 20% of clinically significant tumors are invisible to mpMRI, as defined by the Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Quantum-limit phenomena and band structure in the magnetic topological semimetal EuZn2As2
The interplay between magnetism and electronic topology in the quantum limit is a forefront subject of condensed matter physics. Here, we show the electronic and magnetic properties of layered antiferromagnet EuZn2As2 in pulsed magnetic fields up to 60 T

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.

Trompe L’oeil Ferromagnetism—magnetic point group analysis
Ferromagnetism can be characterized by various distinct phenomena such as non-zero magnetization (inducing magnetic attraction/repulsion), diagonal piezomagnetism, nonreciprocal circular dichroism (such as Faraday effect), odd-order (including linear ...
