Thermodynamics of magnetic refrigeration
International Journal of Refrigeration, 2006A comprehensive treatment of the thermodynamics of cyclic magnetic refrigeration processes is presented. It starts with a review of the work, heat and internal energy of a magnetized specimen in a magnetic field, and a list of the thermodynamic potentials is given. These are based on the very recent discovery of an alternative Kelvin force. It is shown

A new method of producing the magnetic refrigerant suitable for the ericsson magnetic refrigeration
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1987A layer structural complex magnetic refrigerant, which is suitable for the Ericsson cycle, satisfying the Carnot principle, has been investigated. Above ∼ 15 K, since the thermal agitation energy and the lattice entropy increase considerably, the ferromagnetic material has to be used for the refrigerant in the magnetic refrigeration.

Recent Investigations on Refrigerants for Magnetic Refrigerators
1986In development of the magnetic refrigerator, an important problem is selection of magnetic materials as refrigerants. The main purpose of the present paper is to discuss the magnetic and thermal properties necessary for these refrigerants and to report recent investigations.

The demand for ways to reliably estimate the expected efficiency and power density of magnetic refrigerators led in past years to increasing efforts to develop computational models and numerical simulation of magnetic refrigeration processes. Such methods, in addition, provide a better understanding of the loss mechanisms in magnetic refrigerators and ...

Magnetic Materials for Magnetic Refrigeration
Magnetocaloric materials serve as the cornerstone of magnetic refrigeration technology, which emerges as a compelling and globally sustainable alternative to conventional vapor-compression-based cooling systems. Unlike traditional methods that rely on mechanical compression, magnetic refrigeration operates through magnetization and demagnetization ...openaire +1 more source
