La-Fe-Si magnetocaloric composite with anisotropic microstructure prepared by hot pressing

open access: yesDiscover Applied Sciences
In this study, we have proposed an anisotropic microstructure in La-Fe-Si magnetocaloric composites for thermal management. This is vital to the rapid heat exchange and high working efficiency in magnetic refrigerator system.

Entropy‐Driven Innovations: Entropy Stabilized Oxides for High‐Performance Next‐Generation Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This article explores high‐entropy‐stabilized oxides (HEOs) as novel functional materials for addressing critical issues in lithium–sulfur (Li–S) batteries, including lithium polysulfide (LPS) shuttling, inadequate conductivity, and slow redox kinetics.

Electrostatically-enhanced two-stage low-temperature tempering: Effects on the quality of frozen tan mutton

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
The two-stage low-temperature tempering (TLT) and TLT assisted by electrostatic fields (TLT-1500/2000/2500/3000) were developed to investigate their effects on the quality of frozen Tan mutton.

Chemically Modular, Nonfluorinated Polymer Adsorbents for Capturing Per‐ and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Nonfluorinated polymer networks for PFAS adsorption are synthesized using active ester click chemistry. Incorporating Lewis base ligands along with hydrophilic and hydrophobic co‐monomers leads to high PFOA binding efficiency. Ligand basicity and pH are found to play an important role in PFOA sorption.

A Hoveyda–Grubbs‐Type Olefin Metathesis Catalyst Bearing a Fluorinated Unsymmetrical NHC Ligand

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A fluorinated unsymmetrical NHC ruthenium complex was synthesised and employed as a catalyst for olefin metathesis reactions. The modification of the steric and electronic properties of the NHC ligand through the introduction of fluorine substituents results in improved activity but lower selectivity compared to the analogous non‐fluorinated NHC ...

Validated RP‐HPLC–UV Method for the Quantitative Analysis and Stability Evaluation of Amoxicillin in Paediatric Gummy Tablets

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
A validated RP‐HPLC–UV method was successfully applied for amoxicillin determination in gummy tablets. The method is useful for an accurate amoxicillin content determination in paediatric gummies and was applied to study the stability profile of the drug, evaluated over 6 months under storage conditions.

Cyclic superconducting refrigerators using guided fluxon propagation

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We propose cyclic refrigeration in solid state, employing a gas of magnetic field vortices in a type-II superconductor—also known as fluxons—as the cooling agent.

Design and Experimental Study of Pressure Maintenance and Temperature Control System for Hydrate Pressure Core Processing Device

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper presents a hydrate pressure core processing device integrated with a high‐precision active control system to perform nondestructive transfer, cutting, and analysis. To address the limitations of slow dynamic response and high thermal inertia in traditional passive systems, a differentiated control scheme is implemented.
