An optimized magnet for magnetic refrigeration [PDF]
A magnet designed for use in a magnetic refrigeration device is presented. The magnet is designed by applying two general schemes for improving a magnet design to a concentric Halbach cylinder magnet design and dimensioning and segmenting this design in an optimum way followed by the construction of the actual magnet.

Room temperature magnetocaloric effect of Ce0.65Mg0.35Co3
The magnetocaloric (MC) effect of Ce0.65Mg0.35Co3 alloy is simulated using a phenomenological model (PM). MC parameters of Ce0.65Mg0.35Co3 alloy are obtained from modelling findings as the result of simulation for magnetization vs. temperature in a 0.1 T

Magnetic refrigeration down to 1.6 K for the future circular collider e^{+}e^{-}
High-field superconducting rf cavities of the future circular collider e^{+}e^{-} may require a kW-range superfluid helium refrigeration down to 1.6 K. Magnetic refrigeration operating below 4.2 K can be an alternative to the compression/expansion helium

Magnetic Refrigeration: The Modern Refrigeration Technique- A Review [PDF]
This paper involves the information about type of newly refrigeration. The aim of this study is to give the working principle, operating cycle of the cooling due to the magnetic field. The aim behind the cooling effect is Magneto-Caloric effect MCE. According to this effect when magnetic material like gadolinium is subjected to field developed due to ...

Thermoelectric refrigerator based on asymmetric surfaces of a magnetic topological insulator
Thermoelectric (TE) refrigeration such as Peltier cooler enables a unique opportunity in electric energy to directly convert thermal energy. Here, we propose a TE module with both refrigeration and power generation modes by utilizing asymmetric surfaces ...

Effect of Low-Frequency Magnetic Field Assisted Freezing Time on Physicochemical Properties, Moisture Migration and Rheological Properties of Pork [PDF]
This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of low-frequency alternating magnetic field assisted freezing (LF-MFF, –18 ℃) for different periods (12, 24, 36 and 48 h) on the quality of pork using fresh meat and conventional refrigerator freezing (–18 ℃

The Ising critical quantum Otto engine
We study a four-stroke Otto engine whose working fluid is a quantum Ising chain. The thermodynamic cycle consists in sweeps of the transverse magnetic field occurring in thermal isolation, alternated by thermalisation strokes with reservoirs at different

Conventional and not-in-kind refrigerators require heat exchangers for their operation. Yet, most magnetic cooling studies do not take full account of those components despite their importance in defining the cooling capacity and temperature span.
