Organising Nurse Work Environments: (Reshaped) Roles of Nursing Teams—A Qualitative Descriptive Study

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 3424-3436, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To explore how nursing teams (co)organise their work environment by going beyond caregiving. Design A descriptive qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. Methods Semi‐structured group interviews were conducted in 2022 with nurses and managers from 18 nursing teams in a general hospital located in the Netherlands.

Polyurethane Cascade Depolymerization by a Combination of Thermal Pretreatment and Enzymatic Hydrolysis

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
This study explored the cascade depolymerization of a polyether‐polyester polyurethane based on a combination of low‐temperature thermal treatment and enzymatic hydrolysis. Heat pretreatment changed the physicochemical properties of polyurethane, followed by cutinase‐catalyzed hydrolysis, leading to an increase in weight loss and the production of two ...

Permanent Magnet Reluctance Actuators for Vibration Testing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Magnetic reluctance actuators exhibit a high force density and energy efficiency. In this thesis a mechatronic design method for magnetic actuators for vibration excitation is developed. Eddy currents are reduced by a lamination of the magnetic circuit thereby enhancing the system dynamics.

Light Therapy Alleviates Addiction‐Related Symptoms and Reshapes Habenula and Midbrain Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
This study investigates light therapy for treating Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD). Functional MRI (fMRI) data reveal that light therapy enhances brain connectivity, particularly between the habenula and the medial orbitofrontal cortex (mOFC). These changes are associated with reduced withdrawal symptoms and addiction severity, highlighting the ...
