Generalized reluctances in eddy current magnetic circuits
Archiv für Elektrotechnik, 1964The concept of generalized—complex or operational—reluctances is introduced. It is shown that these reluctances simplify considerably the calculation of systems, containing magnetic circuits with eddy currents. Two simple applications are worked out. Some results from a numerical study of the magnetic flux on breaking a telephone relay are given.

The Physics of Fluids
During the operation of rim-driven thrusters (RDTs), eccentricity between the journal and water-lubricated bearing (WLB), as well as between the motor's stator and rotor, is commonly observed.

Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor
2017In these days, there is big emphasis put on electric motors efficiency, the best efficiency can be achieved with surface mounted permanent magnet (SMPM) motor. The SMPM motors efficiency may be even in cases of small machines, higher than 90%. Unfortunately this kind of motor is expensive, because neodymium magnets are used.
