Axial Ferrite-Magnet-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor [PDF]

open access: yes2018 XIII International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2018
This paper presents a noval 18 poles /16 slots Axial Flux Permanent Magnet-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor (AF-PMASynRM) with non-overlapping concentrated winding. At first, the torque ripple and iron losses are analyzed using 3D Finite Element Analysis (3D-FEA).

Magnetic Flux Guides by Material Extrusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetic flux guidance can increase inductive coupling and forces for magnetic sensors, actuators, and transducers. Here, a magnetic material extrusion method is used to fabricate flux concentration structures of arbitrary shapes with a magnetic permeability of 42. In line with simulation analysis, experimental results show that these materials provide

Analysis of Stator/Rotor Pole Combinations in Variable Flux Reluctance Machines Using Magnetic Gearing Effect

open access: yesIEEE transactions on industry applications, 2019
The torque production of variable flux reluctance machines (VFRMs) is explained by the “magnetic gearing effect” in recent research. Based on this theory, this paper concludes the general principles for feasible stator/rotor pole selection and ...

The Reluctance of Some Irregular Magnetic Fields

open access: yesTransactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1915
The development of the idea of magnetic reluctance is sketched, and the mathematical and experimental methods of determining it are first discussed. On the theoretical side it is the theory of complex quantities which leads to numerical results. The electric field of an electric generator is next analyzed and made to depend approximately upon the ...

Self‐Sensing Artificial‐Muscle‐Empowered Humanlike Perception, Interaction, and Positioning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
The proposed self‐sensorized artificial muscle (SSAM) can sense its length change as small as 0.01 mm via a seamlessly integrated multi‐segment induction coil. The SSAM provides accurate length information regardless of its loadings, driving pressure, or muscle design, adequate for robust data‐driven feedback control.
