Distributed parameter model of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI in the identification of IDH mutation, 1p19q codeletion, and tumor cell proliferation in glioma patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
ObjectivesTo investigate the clinical value of hemodynamic parameters derived from dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) in predicting glioma genotypes including isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation, 1p/19q codeletion status and the tumor ...

Beyond Antibiotics: Photo/Sonodynamic Approaches for Bacterial Theranostics

open access: yesNano-Micro Letters, 2020
Rapid evolution and propagation of multidrug resistance among bacterial pathogens are outpacing the development of new antibiotics, but antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) provides an excellent alternative. This treatment depends on the interaction

Fast Multi-class Dictionaries Learning with Geometrical Directions in MRI Reconstruction [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Objective: Improve the reconstructed image with fast and multi-class dictionaries learning when magnetic resonance imaging is accelerated by undersampling the k-space data. Methods: A fast orthogonal dictionary learning method is introduced into magnetic resonance image reconstruction to providing adaptive sparse representation of images.

Cerebello‐Prefrontal Connectivity Underlying Cognitive Dysfunction in Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 2

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 2 (SCA2) is a hereditary cerebellar degenerative disorder, with motor and cognitive symptoms. The constellation of cognitive symptoms due to cerebellar degeneration is named cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome (CCAS), which has increasingly been recognized to profoundly impact patients' quality of life;

Microstructural diffusion MRI for differentiation of breast tumors and prediction of prognostic factors in breast cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
PurposeThis study aims to investigate the feasibility of cellular microstructural mapping by the diffusion MRI (IMPULSED, imaging microstructural parameters using limited spectrally edited diffusion) of breast tumors, and further to evaluate whether the ...

Parallel Magnetic Resonance Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesIn: MRI: Physics, Image Reconstruction, and Analysis, CRC Press 2015, pp. 73-92, ISBN 9781482298871, 2015
The main disadvantage of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are its long scan times and, in consequence, its sensitivity to motion. Exploiting the complementary information from multiple receive coils, parallel imaging is able to recover images from under-sampled k-space data and to accelerate the measurement.

Ezetimibe for the Treatment of Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis: Assessment by Novel Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Magnetic Resonance Elastography in a Randomized Trial (MOZART Trial)

open access: yesHepatology, 2015
Ezetimibe inhibits intestinal cholesterol absorption and lowers low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol. Uncontrolled studies have suggested that it reduces liver fat as estimated by ultrasound in nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
