Scattering on Magnetic Monopoles
Abstract The time-dependent scattering theory of charged particles on magnetic monopoles is investigated within a mathematical frame-work, which duely pays attention to the fact that the wave-functions of the scattered particles are sections in a non-trivial complex line-bundle.

Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,

An investigation of the active galaxies M82 and NGC 5128 [PDF]
In this thesis we present multi-waveband imaging polarimetry and spectropolarime- try of the starburst galaxy M82 and multi-waveband imaging polarimetry of the active galaxy NGC 5128. A review of previous studies of these galaxies is given.

The vibrations of atoms in a crystal (phonons) make up the majority of its entropy (or heat capacity), and these vibrations are typically modeled by simple harmonic oscillators.

A Super-Algebraically Convergent, Windowing-Based Approach to the Evaluation of Scattering from Periodic Rough Surfaces [PDF]
We introduce a new second-kind integral equation method to solve direct rough surface scattering problems in two dimensions. This approach is based, in part, upon the bounded obstacle scattering method that was originally presented in Bruno et al. [2004]

Scattering mechanism of nonmagnetic phase on nano diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) [PDF]
This paper shows the scattering mechanism at diluted magneticsemiconductors. The doped magnetic atom produces a scattering potential due to becoupled of itinerant carrier spin of host material with magnetic momentum of the dopedmagnetic atom. Formulas of

In imitation of f.c.c.-Ni–Fe alloy, the statistical-thermodynamic approach is applied for quantitative analysis of the thermal and composition–magnetic moment fluctuations’ influence on the kinematic diffuse-scattering intensity of radiations (X-rays or ...

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,
