Demagnetization of magnetically shielded rooms
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2007Magnetically shielded rooms for specific high resolution physiological measurements exploiting the magnetic field, e.g., of the brain (dc-magnetoencephalograpy), low-field NMR, or magnetic marker monitoring, need to be reproducibly demagnetized to achieve reliable measurement conditions.

Magnetic shielding of Rogowski coils
2017 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), 2017This paper describes the impact of Rogowski coil (RC) construction imperfections on measurement errors. A procedure is shown for detecting RC non-homogeneity using a rotary dipole magnetic field inducing a current inside an RC. The influence of RC magnetic shielding on reducing spurious fields is described.

Analog studies of magnetic shields.
AIAA Journal, 1966Externally deflecting magnets provide a protective region around space vehicles which shields them from the hazardous space radiation. The magnetic shield simulator (MAGSIM) is an analog device that provides a simple means for directly measuring the forbidden volume or protective region produced by externally deflecting magnets.

Magnetic shielding and minimization of shielding material
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1994The guide lines on magnetic shielding in general cases are given. The relationship between leakage fields and electromagnetic properties of ferromagnetic material used in the magnetic shielding is clarified. Along such guide lines, magnetic field analysis is discussed from the viewpoint of minimizing the amount of the shielding material, which is quite

Magnetic shielding for MRI superconducting magnets
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1991An optical design is presented of a highly homogeneous superconducting coil system with magnetic shielding for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The optimal design method is a combination of the hybrid finite-element and boundary-element method for analysis of an axially symmetric nonlinear open-boundary magnetic field problem and a mathematical ...

Frequency Dependence of Shielding Effectiveness of Multilayered Magnetic Shields
Sixteenth International Wrocław Symposium and Exhibition, Electromagnetic Compatibility 2002, 2002An analysis of magnetic shielding effectiveness of multilayered structures versus frequency is presented. It is shown that the quasistatic field approximation is accurate until several MHz depending on the source-to-observation-point distance, characteristic dimensions of the source, and physical and geometrical properties of layers.

Investigation of 2-layer Shield for Magnetic Shielding Considering Magnetic Hysteresis
The 2006 4th Asia-Pacific Conference on Environmental Electromagnetics, 2006This paper presents the study of 2-layer shielding against power frequency magnetic field in order to increase the shielding effectiveness of the shield. The work has been investigated by finite element method (FEM) considering the hysteresis effect of magnetic materials.

Magnetic Shielding for Coreless Linear Permanent Magnet Motors
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013This paper concerns the local reduction of the magnetic flux density by means of magnetic shielding. Using a spatial frequency description, a 2-D semi-analytical periodic model is obtained for a coreless single-sided linear permanent magnet motor. The magnetic shield is included in the modeling using mode-matching. The obtained magnetic flux density is

Magnetic Shielding by Superconducting Films
Journal of Applied Physics, 1962The magnetic field distribution and supercurrent density are calculated exactly by means of the Maxwell-London equations for the case of an ideal superconducting spherical shell immersed in a steady uniform magnetic field. It is shown that the magnetic field is strongly attenuated by the spherical shell even if the shell thickness is as small as 1000 A.

Low-Frequency Magnetic Shielding
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, Signal & Power Integrity (EMC+SIPI), 2019For NASA’s Europa Clipper mission, the spacecraft is scheduled to orbit Jupiter for 3.5 years. Magnetic shielding for spacecraft electronics in this environment is challenging, mass is precious and Jupiter’s environmental magnetic fields threaten to saturate any magnetic materials on-board.
