Fully-Integrated Solid Shunt Planar Transformer for LLC Resonant Converters
A new topology for achieving high leakage inductance in inserted-shunt integrated magnetic planar transformers is proposed. In the proposed topology, two one-segment shunts are placed across the planar E-core air gap and between the primary and secondary

Vibration Control using Electro-Magnetic Resonant Shunt Damper
Voice coil motor has a property to convert the mechanical energy to electrical energy and vice versa. In this study, an electro-magnetic resonant shunt damper, consists of a voice coil motor with electric resonant shunt circuit, is proposed. The optimal design of the shunt circuit is obtained theoretically for this electro-magnetic resonant shunt ...

A flux qubit can have a relatively long decoherence time at the degeneracy point, but away from this point the decoherence time is greatly reduced by dephasing. This limits the practical applications of flux qubits.

Impedance analysis of new PS internal dump design [PDF]
The High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project at CERN calls for increasing beam intensity in the injector chain. In the Proton Synchrotron (PS), a pre-injector of the LHC, these intensities can result in beam instabilities and potential RF ...

Band‐tail and deep trap states are effectively disentangled through the use of selective alkylamine additives. PA‐driven 2D ordering narrows band tails, while HA enhances halide passivation and Pb coordination to suppress deep traps. A comparative study of their CQD short‐wave infrared (SWIR) photodetectors further reveals whether band‐tail states or ...

Vortex-assisted photon counts and their magnetic field dependence in single-photon detectors
We argue that photon counts in a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SNSPD) are caused by the transition from a current-biased metastable superconducting state to the normal state. Such a transition is triggered by vortices crossing the thin

Inspired by the mimosa, this study develops a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator with a novel microneedle array and battery‐mimetic architecture. The device introduces a spontaneous charge self‐regulation mechanism that confines the electric field below the air breakdown threshold, and achieves an outstanding charge density of 396.50 µC m−2 ...

Use of Mutual Coupling to Decrease Parasitic Inductance of Shunt Capacitor Filters [PDF]
In this paper, we propose and study several new designs of a shunt capacitor filter with two surface-mount technology capacitors. These designs make use of mutual inductance effects to increase the attenuation provided by the filter in the range of high ...

Robust and Tailored 1D/3D Heterojunction for Efficient and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells
This study successfully established a robust 1D/3D heterojunction, characterized by a stable 1D phase, favorable lattice matching, strong interface binding, and effective defect passivation. The resulting epitaxial perovskite film demonstrates preferential vertical orientation of (100) facets, thereby facilitating carriers’ transport and stress relief.
