Magnetic Structure of Sunspots [PDF]

open access: yesLiving Reviews in Solar Physics, 2011
In this review we give an overview about the current state-of-knowledge of the magnetic field in sunspots from an observational point of view. We start by offering a brief description of tools that are most commonly employed to infer the magnetic field ...

Magnetic Structure of CoO [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, 2021
The paper reports evidence that the multi-spin-axis magnetic structure proposed in 1964 by van Laar is realized in antiferromagnetic CoO. This tetragonal spin arrangement produces both the strong tetragonal and the weaker monoclinic distortion experimentally observed in this material.

Etching-Induced Surface Reconstruction of NiMoO4 for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesNano-Micro Letters, 2023
Highlights Double-cation etching induces abundant vacancies serving as active sites and accelerates the surface reconstruction. NMO-30M with cation deficiencies and oxygen vacancies exhibits outstanding OER performance and remarkable stability.

Bifunctional Oxygen Electrocatalyst of Mesoporous Ni/NiO Nanosheets for Flexible Rechargeable Zn–Air Batteries

open access: yesNano-Micro Letters, 2020
One approach to accelerate the stagnant kinetics of both the oxygen reduction and evolution reactions (ORR/OER) is to develop a rationally designed multiphase nanocomposite, where the functions arising from each of the constituent phases, their ...

Magnetic Structuring of Electrodeposits [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2011
Metal electrodeposition reflects the pattern of the magnetic field at the cathode surface created by a magnet array. For deposits from paramagnetic cations such as Co²⁺ or Cu²⁺, the effect is explained in terms of magnetic pressure which modifies the thickness of the diffusion layer, that governs their mass transport.

Magnetism in carbon structures [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2005
We discuss different magnetic phenomena observed in carbon-based structures, in particular the diamagnetism, paramagnetism and ferromagnetism observed in graphite, disordered carbon, fullerenes and irradiated carbon structures.

Strategies for Improving the Stability of Tin‐Based Perovskite (ASnX3) Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2020
Although lead‐based perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are highly efficient, the toxicity of lead (Pb) limits its large‐scale commercialization. As such, there is an urgent need to find alternatives. Many studies have examined tin‐based PSCs.
