A Novel Formaldehyde-Free Wood Adhesive Synthesized by Straw Soda Lignin and Polyethyleneimine

open access: yesBioResources, 2023
To eliminate toxic formaldehyde from wood-based panels, a new formaldehyde-free wood adhesive (named OL/PEI adhesive) was synthesized by a reaction of oxidized lignin (OL) and polyethylenimine (PEI) reaction in the presence of sodium periodate.

Water Migration Characteristics of Pinus Sylvestris During the Drying Process Studied by Single-sided Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance
Investigating the moisture migration during the wood drying process can help improve wood utilization. Single-sided nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology facilitates such investigation with its advantage in conducting one-dimensional measurements ...

Superhumps in Cataclysmic Binaries. XXV. q_crit, epsilon(q), and Mass-Radius

open access: yes, 2005
We report on successes and failures in searching for positive superhumps in cataclysmic variables, and show the superhumping fraction as a function of orbital period.

Moisture content measurement of stacked wood with electro-magnetic waves [PDF]

open access: yesWood Science = Faipar, 2016
<p class="p1">A faanyag átvétele során visszatérő probléma, hogy a teherautókon szállított tűzifának illetve rostfának csak a tömegét tudják gyorsan és pontosan megmérni, a felhasználót viszont a szárazanyag-tartalom érdekli, az alapján kíván fizetni. Ez különösen igaz a fatüzelésű erőművekre, forgácslap-gyárakra.

Thermal expansion and crystal structure of cementite, Fe3C, between 4 and 600K determined by time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The cementite phase of Fe3C has been studied by high-resolution neutron powder diffraction at 4.2 K and at 20 K intervals between 20 and 600 K. The crystal structure remains orthorhombic (Pnma) throughout, with the fractional coordinates of all atoms ...

X-Ray Eclipse Timing in the LMXB EXO0748-676

open access: yes, 2004
Orbital period changes are an important diagnostic for understanding low mass X-ray binary (LMXB) accretion-induced angular momentum exchange and overall system evolution. We present our most recent results for the eclipse timing of the LMXB EXO0748-676.

Global analysis of solar neutrinos (assumed to be Majorana particles) together with the new KamLAND data

open access: yes, 2007
Assuming neutrinos are Majorana particles having non-zero transition magnetic moments, a global analysis of solar neutrino data, together with the new KamLAND data, is presented in the resonant spin flavor precession (RSFP) framework. The allowed regions
