Progressive Myoclonus Epilepsy: Distinctive MRI Changes in Cerebellar and Motor Networks
ABSTRACT Objective Progressive myoclonus epilepsy (PME) is a rare generalized epilepsy syndrome with a well‐characterized genetic basis. The brain networks that are affected to give rise to the distinctive symptoms of PME are less well understood. Methods Eleven individuals with PME with a confirmed genetic diagnosis and 22 controls were studied.

Hysteresis in mesoscopic superconducting disks: the Bean-Livingston barrier
The magnetization behavior of mesoscopic superconducting disks can show hysteretic behavior which we explain by using the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory and properly taking into account the de-magnetization effects due to geometrical form factors.

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the reliability of very high‐frequency oscillations (VHFOs, 500–2000 Hz) as biomarkers in identifying the epileptogenic zone (EZ) in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE) patients. Methods We reviewed 19 MTLE patients who underwent stereo‐electroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation.

Secondary peak on asymmetric magnetization loop of type-II superconductors
Asymmetric magnetization loops with a second peak effect were parameterized by the extended critical state model. The magnetic field distribution in a sample is considered.

Photo-induced Magnetic Force Between Nanostructures [PDF]
Photo-induced magnetic force between nanostructures, at optical frequencies, is investigated theoretically. Till now optical magnetic effects are not used in scanning probe microscopy because of the vanishing natural magnetism with increasing frequency.

Equivalent Electrical Model of an Inductor Excited by a Triangular Current Including Saturation
A model for an equivalent electrical circuit designed for a ferrite (3C90) inductor usually used in power converters excited by a non-sinusoidal current appropriate for use in power electronics is proposed. This study, based on 3D finite element analysis,

Magnetizing of permanent magnets using HTS bulk magnets
A demagnetized Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet was scanned just above the magnetic pole containing the HTS bulk magnet, generating a magnetic field of 3.27 T. The magnet sample was subsequently found to be fully magnetized in the open space of the static magnetic fields.

Negative magnetic susceptibility and nonequivalent ensembles for the mean-field $\phi^4$ spin model
We calculate the thermodynamic entropy of the mean-field $\phi^4$ spin model in the microcanonical ensemble as a function of the energy and magnetization of the model.
