A Novel Digitalization Approach for Smart Materials – Ontology‐Based Access to Data and Models

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In order to access heterogeneous material data and model‐based knowledge, the established ontology‐based data access (OBDA) is extended to include material models. This novel ontology‐based data and model access (OBDMA) enables the computation of new responses beyond stored data.

Susceptibility at the edge points of magnetization plateau of 1D electron/spin systems

open access: yes, 2009
We study the behavior of magnetization curve as a function of magnetic field in the immediate vicinity of the magnetization plateaus of 1D electron systems within the bosonization formalism.

Thermal relaxation of magnetic clusters in amorphous Hf_{57}Fe_{43} alloy [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Phys.: Condens. Matter 19 (2007) 296207, 2006
The magnetization processes in binary magnetic/nonmagnetic amorphous alloy Hf_{57}Fe_{43} are investigated by the detailed measurements of magnetic hysteresis loops, temperature dependence of magnetization, relaxation of magnetization and magnetic ac susceptibility, including a nonlinear term.

Asymptotic behavior of the finite-size magnetization as a function of the speed of approach to criticality

open access: yes, 2009
The main focus of this paper is to determine whether the thermodynamic magnetization is a physically relevant estimator of the finite-size magnetization. This is done by comparing the asymptotic behaviors of these two quantities along parameter sequences

Scaling laws of free magnetic energy stored in a solar emerging flux region [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This Letter reports scaling laws of free magnetic energy stored in a solar emerging flux region which is a key to understanding the energetics of solar active phenomena such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections. By performing 3-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic simulations that reproduce several emerging flux regions of different magnetic ...

Nonlinear turbulent magnetic diffusion and effective drift velocity of large-scale magnetic field in a two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic turbulence [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.E75:066315,2007, 2007
We study a nonlinear quenching of turbulent magnetic diffusion and effective drift velocity of large-scale magnetic field in a developed two-dimensional MHD turbulence at large magnetic Reynolds numbers. We show that transport of the mean-square magnetic potential strongly changes quenching of turbulent magnetic diffusion.

Magnetic Field‐Assisted Conductive Nerve Guidance Conduit Enabling Peripheral Nerve Regeneration with Wireless Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a conductive nerve guidance conduit integrated with wireless electrical stimulation through alternating magnetic fields, which induces currents and creates a supportive microenvironment for nerve regeneration. In vivo studies show that this approach significantly enhanced myelin restoration, gastrocnemius muscle regeneration ...

Magnetization-plateau state of the S=3/2 spin chain with single ion anisotropy

open access: yes, 1999
We reexamine the numerical study of the magnetized state of the S=3/2 spin chain with single ion anisotropy D(> 0) for the magnetization M=M_{S}/3, where M_{S} is the saturation magnetization.
