Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

2D Co‐Mo‐Hydroxide‐Based Multifunctional Material for the Development of H2‐Based Clean Energy Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
2D α‐Co(OH)2 interleaved with Mo species displays an appealing dual functionality for the production and use of green hydrogen.Mo incorporation greatly benefits the electrochemical behaviour in Oxygen Evolution Reaction for H2 production, while the magnetocaloric response at liquid H2 temperature paves the way for alternative cryogenic refrigerants ...

Micromagnetic simulations of first-order reversal curves in nanowire arrays using MuMax3

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
We perform simulations of magnetic reversal in a 3 × 3 array of nanowires using MuMax3 micromagnetic simulation program. We record a series of first-order reversal curves (FORCs) that form distinct branches of ascending minor curves depending on the ...

Ultrafast dynamics of four-state magnetization reversal in (Ga,Mn)As

open access: yes, 2009
The ultrafast dynamics of in-plane four-state magnetization reversal from compressively strained (Ga,Mn)As film was investigated by magneto-optical Kerr rotation measurement. The magnetization reversal signal was dramatically suppressed upon pumping, and

Simulations of the magnetization reversal of clustered Co-Cr particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Micromagnetic simulations of the magnetization reversal of clusters of 9 and 25 magnetostatically coupled Co-Cr particles are presented. The magnetostatic interaction between neighbouring particles facilitates reversal.

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Spontaneous magnetization reversal caused by magnetic noise in ε-In0.24Fe1.76O3 nanoparticles

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
Kinetics of magnetization relaxation of the exotic ε-In0.24Fe1.76O3 nanoparticles under applied magnetic field has been studied. The fluctuation field and the activation volume have been calculated from the magnetic viscosity data.

The self-reversal origin of the reversed remanent magnetization in the igneous rocks containing the oxidized Fe-Ti oxide solid solutions

open access: yesContributions to Geophysics and Geodesy, 2011
I study the magnetic and paleomagnetic characteristics of the Pleistocene to Quaternary basalts from the West Carpathian Mountains. I have revealed the existence of the so-called self-reversal remanent magnetization bearing disordered-antiferromagnetic ...

Angular Dependence of Magnetoresistance During Magnetization Reversal on Magnetic Tunnel Junction Ring

open access: yes, 2013
[[abstract]]Microstructured magnetic tunnel junction ring with outer/inner diameter of 2/1 mum has been fabricated to investigate the angular dependence of magnetoresistance during magnetization reversal process.

Magnetization reversal through synchronization with a microwave

open access: yes, 2006
Based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation, it can be shown that a circularly polarized microwave can reverse the magnetization of a Stoner particle through synchronization. In comparison with magnetization reversal induced by a static magnetic field,
