Magnetization Reversal in a Novel Gradient Nanomaterial

Physical Review Letters, 2006
The deposition of Co/Pd multilayer films onto self-assembled particle arrays with particle sizes down to 50 nm leads to pronounced curvature-induced physical properties. Unlike in classical nanosystems, the so-formed single caps on top of the spherical particles exhibit a radial symmetric anisotropy orientation across their surface.

Tunneling of magnetization reversal in a nanocomposite magnet

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2003
The magnetic properties of a nanocomposite, two-phase magnet has been studied. A numerical investigation of the grain size dependence of the demagnetizing process in this system is presented.

Reversible magnetization and Lorentzian function approximation

Journal of Applied Physics, 2003
The paper proposes the use of a Lorentzian function to describe the irreversible component of the magnetization of soft materials with hysteresis using the Everett’s integral. We will derive an analytical formula to compute the irreversible magnetization, and compute the reversible component by the measurements of the major loop.

Nucleation of magnetization reversal in ESD magnets

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1969
The nucleation field, by the curling mode, is calculated for an ideal chain of identical ferromagnetic spheres as a function of the angle between the applied magnetic field and the chain axis, and of the radius of the spheres, neglecting magnetocrystalline anistropy.

Magnetization Reversal in Clusters of Magnetic Particles

1991
The energy barrier of reversal of the magnetic moments in a system of interacting magnetic particles has been evaluated for different geometric arrangements. It is found that introducing a neighbor particle to a linear chain lowers the energy barrier of reversing the magnetic moments substantially.

Magnetization Reversal by Rotation

Journal of Applied Physics, 1958
The mechanism of magnetization reversal by simple rotation has been discussed by a number of authors, but a completely general analysis (applicable to a single-domain ferromagnetic body of any type of anisotropy, with an applied field in an arbitrary direction) has not been given. The purpose of this paper is to present such an analysis.

Magnetization reversal in a soft magnetic nanowire

2014
The analysis of ferromagnetic nanowires is a new and vivid field of research. Micromagnetic simulations based on the Gauss-Seidel Projection Method (GSPM) is very efficient for simulating the magnetic behavior and is being used to gain an insight into the dynamics of the reversal process of both thin and thick wires.

Magnetization reversal in TmCrO3

Materials Research Bulletin, 2012
Abstract The perovskite chromite TmCrO 3 shows magnetization reversal at two temperatures. The reversal at ∼28 K is attributed to the antiparallel coupling between Tm 3+ and Cr 3+ moments, while that at the lower temperature (∼6–7 K) is rooted in a rotation of the magnetic moments.
