Accurate and noninvasive prostate cancer detection using plasma‐derived extracellular vesicle RNA

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plasma extracellular vesicles were captured with WGA‐conjugated magnetic beads and profiled for RNA biomarkers. A three‐RNA panel (NM_024955, NR_047469, and NR_002564) distinguished prostate cancer from healthy controls and benign prostatic hyperplasia, supporting a simple, noninvasive approach to improve prostate cancer detection.

Correlation Analysis on Impermeability of Concrete between Magnesium Oxide and Magnetized Water

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2018
Adding magnesia can compensate shrinkage of concrete and prevent crack of concrete, and this technique is applied widely. However, if magnitude of expansive stress caused by adscititious magnesia is too large, it trends to damage the structure of cement ...

THE EFFECT OF MAGNETICALLY TREATED WATER ON THE TOTAL PROTEINS AND SOME ENZYMES IN THE LIVER OF THE CYPRINUS CARPIO FISH [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة جامعة الانبار للعلوم الصرفة, 2013
Fish Cyprinus carpio were exposed to magnetized water for 8 days. Magnetic intensities of 750,1500 and 3000 gauss were used to magnetize water. The activities of enzymes alkaline phosphatase , acid phosphatase, ALT and AST were estimated in the liver of ...

Adenosine triphosphate as a modulator of protein interactions and stability

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ATP is best known as the cell's energy currency, but it also shapes how proteins fold, interact, aggregate and form biomolecular condensates. This review explains the emerging physical principles behind these effects, including weak binding to charged protein regions, magnesium‐dependent behaviour and concentration‐dependent control of protein ...

Purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 for phase separation studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Magnetized water irrigation improves soil microenvironment and fruit quality of greenhouse peppers under continuous cropping

open access: yesGuan'gai paishui xuebao
【Objective】Long-term continuous cropping in greenhouse vegetable production could cause soil degradation and microbial community imbalance, compromising crop fruit quality.

Effect of drinking magnetized water on production performance of lactating dairy cows in summer

open access: yesSiliao yanjiu, 2023
The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of magnetized water drinking on performance of Holstein lactating cows in summer. Thirty dairy cows with similar milk yield and lactation days were randomly divided into two groups with 15 replicates
