Polar magneto-optical Kerr effect for low-symmetric ferromagnets [PDF]
The polar magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) for low-symmetric ferromagnetic crystals is investigated theoretically based on first-principle calculations of optical conductivities and a transfer matrix approach for the electrodynamics part of the problem.

Understanding the Surface Magneto-optic Kerr Effect [PDF]
We will introduce the surface magneto-optic Kerr effect (SMOKE), which is one of the most helpful experimental methods in the area of surface magnetism for the last two decades. The basic magnetic characteristics of magnetic thin film is the most essential part for the further understanding and application.

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Fundamentals of Magneto-Optical Spectroscopy
This paper provides a comprehensive review of magneto-optical (MO) spectroscopy. In the first place, different methods of MO measurements such as the Faraday effect, MO Kerr effect, and Cotton-Mouton effect are briefly introduced.

Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Unconventional specular optical rotation in the charge ordered state of Kagome metal CsV3Sb5
Kagome metals AV3Sb5 (A = K, Cs, Rb) provide a rich platform for intertwined orders, where evidence for time-reversal symmetry breaking, likely due to the long-sought loop currents, has emerged in STM and muon spin relaxation experiments.

Transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect in active magneto-plasmonic structures [PDF]
We propose a novel method to enhance the transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect (TMOKE) in the magneto-plasmonic (MP) nanostructures by means of the active dielectric layer. We report the theoretical analysis of the magnetoplasmonic structure with a ferromagnetic dielectric doped with rear-earth ions (Nd3+) as the example of a gain layer.

ABSTRACT The spin Hall effect is a well‐known phenomenon in spintronics that has found numerous applications in digital electronics (memory and logic), but relatively few in analog electronics. Practically the only analog application in widespread use is the spin Hall nano‐oscillator (SHNO) that delivers a high frequency alternating current or voltage ...

Magneto-optical and Magneto-electric Effects of Topological Insulators in Quantizing Magnetic Fields
We develop a theory of the magneto-optical and magneto-electric properties of a topological insulator thin film in the presence of a quantizing external magnetic field.
