Magneto-optical properties of nanodispersed iron thin films in the 1.0-5.0 eV photon energy range [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Despite extensive studies on the magneto-optical properties of nanodispersed iron, questions remain regarding the influence of volume fraction of magnetic particles, particle size, shape, and the surrounding matrix on these properties.

Magneto-Optical Properties of Wurtzite-Phase InP Nanowires [PDF]

open access: yesNano Letters, 2014
The possibility to grow in zincblende (ZB) and/or wurtzite (WZ) crystal phase widens the potential applications of semiconductor nanowires (NWs). This is particularly true in technologically relevant III-V compounds, such as GaAs, InAs, and InP, for which WZ is not available in bulk form. The WZ band structure of many III-V NWs has been widely studied.

Impact of geometry and magneto-optical properties on field enhancement and optical bistability in core–shell nanoparticles

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical and Applied Physics, 2018
We study the interaction of electromagnetic field with two of the most tunable nanostructure geometries for nanoplasmonics including the magneto-optical nanoshell structure and the spheroidal geometry. We investigate the effect of combining both geometry

Theoretical Investigation of Magnetic Properties of MnBi By DFT+U Method Using elk Software [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
A half metallic -ferromagnet MnBi exhibits metallic behavior in one spin direction while the other spin direction shows semiconducting behavior. This unique property makes MnBi a promising material for spintronic devices.

Probing magnetization dynamics of iron oxide nanoparticles using a point-probe magneto-optical method

open access: yesFrontiers in Nanotechnology, 2023
Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are promising as local heat generators for magnetic hyperthermia under AC magnetic fields. The heating efficacy of MNPs is determined by the AC hysteresis loop area, which in turn is affected by the dynamic magnetic ...

Extremely high Faraday and Kerr rotations and extraordinary optical transmission in four-layer dielectric-metal strips-dielectric-Bi:YIG planar structure

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications
Faraday and Kerr effects as well as the extraordinary optical transmission in a structure that combines magneto-optical and plasmonic properties are studied. The planar structure consists of four layers, namely, dielectric layer, metal strips, once again

Magneto Optical Properties of FeBxFe2−xO4 Nanoparticles

open access: yesJournal of Inorganic and Organometallic Polymers and Materials, 2015
In this study, FeBxFe2−xO4 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by the polyol method. The M–H hysteresis curves exhibit superparamagnetic characteristics that are both coercivity and remanent magnetization values are negligible. The particle size dependent Langevin function was applied to calculate the magnetic particle dimensions around 9 nm.
