Black Phosphorus‐Based Nanocomposites as Anode Materials for Lithium‐Ion Batteries: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
Multifunctional black phosphorus nanocomposites with carbon, metal/oxide, and polymers suppress volume expansion, enhance conductivity, and enable durable, high‐capacity LIB anodes. ABSTRACT Black phosphorus (BP) is a layered and two‐dimensional substance that has been discussed as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) due to its ...

Unraveling Oxygen Evolution Reaction Enhancement Mechanisms: From Internal to External Fields of Electrolyzers

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 7, 1 April 2026.
This review systematically examines strategies for enhancing alkaline water electrolysis through internal catalyst engineering and external field assistance (light, magnetic fields). It proposes an integrated internal‐external field framework, elucidating synergistic mechanisms at electronic, mass transport, and system stability levels.

Effects of Age on Resting‐State Cortical Networks

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 5, 1 April 2026.
ABSTRACT Understanding how ageing affects brain function remains a central challenge in neuroscience. Electrophysiological brain imaging techniques provide a near‐direct measure of neuronal activity, which is useful for characterising neurophysiological health.

Anomalous Valley Zeeman Splitting Induced by In‐plane Magnetic Fields in a Mo0.7W0.3Se2 Monolayer

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
In‐plane magnetic fields produce an anomalous valley Zeeman splitting in a Mo0.7W0.3Se2${\rm Mo}_{0.7}{\rm W}_{0.3}{\rm Se}_2$ monolayer – a response forbidden in binary transition‐metal dichalcogenides. Photoluminescence g‐factors of ‐6 to ‐7 exceed resonant scattering values by a factor of four, revealing a many‐body origin.
