Anisotropic and strong negative magneto-resistance in the three-dimensional topological insulator Bi2Se3 [PDF]
We report on high-field angle-dependent magneto-transport measurements on epitaxial thin films of Bi2Se3, a three-dimensional topological insulator. At low temperature, we observe quantum oscillations that demonstrate the simultaneous presence of bulk ...

Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Colossal infrared and terahertz magneto-optical activity in a two-dimensional Dirac material
When two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) are exposed to magnetic field, they resonantly absorb electromagnetic radiation via electronic transitions between Landau levels (LLs).

Magneto-x-ray effects in transition-metal alloys [PDF]
We present a theory that combines the relativistic spin-polarized version of the Koringa-Kohn-Rostoker coherent-potential approximation theory and the macroscopic theory of magneto-optical effects enabling us to calculate magneto-x-ray effects from first

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...

Spin-lattice coupling mediated giant magnetodielectricity across the spin reorientation in Ca2FeCoO5
The structural, phonon, magnetic, dielectric, and magneto dielectric responses of the pure bulk Brownmillerite compound Ca2FeCoO5 are reported. This compound showed giant magneto dielectric response (10%-24%) induced by strong spin-lattice coupling ...

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.

A protocol for gradient coating design zinc anodes for stable zinc ion batteries
Summary: In this protocol, we present a modified gradient coating strategy for zinc anodes. We describe steps for synthesizing electrodes, measuring electrochemistry, and assembling and testing batteries. The protocol can be applied for broadening design
