Characteristics of Magneto-Rheological Elastomer under Stick-Slip Condition
Key Engineering Materials, 2020This paper examines the characteristics of stick-slip phenomena between the glass plate and Magneto-Rheological Elastomer (MRE) surface. Stick-slip phenomena are the spontaneous jerking motion that occurs while two objects are sliding over each other, usually accompanied by noise.

Two-dimensional magnetic property measurement for magneto-rheological elastomer
Journal of Applied Physics, 2013Magneto-rheological elastomer (MRE) is a new kind of smart material. Its rheological properties can be altered and controlled in a real time manner when it is applied an external magnetic field. For calculating magnetic properties of MRE material, usually Maxwell-Garnet equation is used to acquire an approximately effective permeability.

The Evaluation of Absorption Performance of Magneto-Rheological (MR) Elastomer
Advanced Materials Research, 2015This study examines the relation between the thickness of a specimen and the weight of an impactor for evaluating the shock absorption performance of magneto-rheological (MR) elastomers with and without a magnetic field. The shock absorption performance can be evaluated by calculating impact energy.

Micromechanical analysis on tensile modulus of structured magneto-rheological elastomer
Smart Materials and Structures, 2016This paper proposed a micromechanical model to investigate the tensile modulus of structured magnetorheological elastomers (MRE) to understand its anisotropic properties. A three parameter representative volume element (RVE) model was presented to describe the microscopic structure, where particles could be organized in layer-like or chain-like ...
