Modeling of wave processes when the heterogeneous flow is moving in a low-frequency magnetic peristaltic pump of pulsating type [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The paper presents the results of a multiphysical simulation of the movement of a heterogeneous flow in the working channel of a magnetic peristaltic pump, which describes in detail the state of the flow particles at all points of the considered area at ...

Magnetoactive elastomers with periodic and random microstructures

open access: yesInternational Journal of Solids and Structures, 2014
AbstractWe investigate the behavior of magnetoactive elastomers (MAEs) with periodic and random distributions of circular and elliptical fibers. For the MAEs with periodic microstructures, we develop finite element models and determine the local fields as well as the effective properties of MAEs with rectangular and quasi-hexagonal unit cells.

Bioinspired Design, Fabrication, and Wing Morphing of 3D‐Printed Magnetic Butterflies

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2025.
Inspired by the remarkable flight of monarch butterflies, lightweight, 3D‐printed magnetic butterflies are fabricated that mimic natural wing morphing without embedded electronics. By varying size, vein patterns, and laser energy in powder bed fusion printing, how these factors enhance deformation efficiency is shown.

Theory and computation of electromagnetic fields and thermomechanical structure interaction for systems undergoing large deformations

open access: yes, 2019
For an accurate description of electromagneto-thermomechanical systems, electromagnetic fields need to be described in a Eulerian frame, whereby the thermomechanics is solved in a Lagrangean frame.

A Review of Artificial Intelligence‐Driven Innovations in Soft Magnetic Materials Optimization: Current Trends and Future Horizons

open access: yesMetalMat, Volume 2, Issue 1, March 2025.
Soft magnetic materials (SMMs), characterized by their low coercivity and high magnetic permeability, are widely used in motors, transformers, and sensors due to their excellent magnetic properties. With the advancement of industry, there is an urgent need to develop SMMs with higher saturation magnetic flux density, lower coercivity, higher ...
