Magnetocaloric effect in manganites: metamagnetic transitions for magnetic refrigeration [PDF]
We present a study of the magnetocaloric effect in La5/8-yPryCa3/8MnO3 (y=0.3) and Pr0.5Ca0.09Sr0.41MnO3 manganites. The low temperature state of both ystems is the result of a competition between the antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic phases.

Multi-pass cold rolling and wire drawing process of gadolinium and its magnetocaloric effect
Owing to low ductility of magnetocaloric material (MCM)s, the plastic deformation process is quite challenging, and information available on the deformation process of MCMs is limited. In this study, the cold rolling and wire drawing processes of Gd wire

Simulated magnetocaloric properties of MnCr2O4 spinel [PDF]
The magnetocaloric properties of MnCr2O4 spinel have been simulated based on a phenomenological model. The simulation of magnetization as function of temperature is used to explore magnetocaloric properties such as magnetic entropy change, heat capacity ...

Magnetocaloric Effect in Cu5-NIPA Molecular Magnet: A Theoretical Study. [PDF]
We calculated the magnetocaloric properties of the molecular nanomagnet Cu5-NIPA, consisting of five spins S=1/2 arranged in two corner-sharing triangles (hourglass-like structure without magnetic frustration).

Effect of Dy substitution in the giant magnetocaloric properties of HoB$_{2}$
Recently, a massive magnetocaloric effect near the liquefaction temperature of hydrogen has been reported in the ferromagnetic material HoB$_{2}$. Here we investigate the effects of Dy substitution in the magnetocaloric properties of Ho$_{1-x}$Dy$_{x}$B ...

Effect of Co and Fe on the inverse magnetocaloric properties of Ni-Mn-Sn [PDF]
At certain compositions Ni-Mn-$X$ Heusler alloys ($X$: group IIIA-VA elements) undergo martensitic transformations, and many of them exhibit inverse magnetocaloric effects.

Proper coupling between structural and magnetic transitions is critical for the emergence and control of magnetocaloric effects in solids. We examine the influence of minor substitutional doping (replacing Mn by Cr and Al by Sn) and interstitial doping ...

Review of the Magnetocaloric Effect in RMnO3 and RMn2O5 Multiferroic Crystals
It is known that some of RMnO3 and RMn2O5 (R = rare earth) multiferroic crystals reveal a strong interplay between their magnetic and electric order parameters, paving the way for applications in spintronic technologies.
