Magnetoelectric‐Field Electrodynamics: Search for Magnetoelectric Point Scatterers

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, 2022
AbstractResonant scattering of electromagnetic (EM) waves by small particles is considered as one of the basic problems in metamaterial science. At present, special subwavelength resonators are considered as structural elements in chiral and bianisotropic metamaterials.

Magnetoelectric fractals, Magnetoelectric parametric resonance and Hopf bifurcation

open access: yesPhysica D: Nonlinear Phenomena, 2023
In the present work, we study the dynamics of a magnetic nanoparticle coupled through the magnetoelectric coupling to the ferroelectric crystal. The model of our interest is nonlinear, and we explore the problem under different limits of weak and strong linearity.

Additional magnetoelectric effect in electrode-arrayed magnetoelectric composite

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
An electrode-arrayed magnetoelectric (ME) composite was proposed, in which the positive and negative electrodes of the PZT-5H plate (Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3) were equally divided into a 2 × 5 array, while the PZT plate remained intact. The ME voltage coefficients of these 10 sections were measured individually and in parallel/series modes.

Electrodynamics of Magnetoelectric Media and Magnetoelectric Fields [PDF]

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, 2020
AbstractThe relationship between magnetoelectricity and electromagnetism is a subject of a strong interest and numerous discussions in microwave and optical wave physics and material sciences. The definition of the energy and momentum of the electromagnetic (EM) field in a magnetoelectric (ME) medium is not a trivial problem.

Magnetoelectric Energy in Electrodynamics: Magnetoelectricity, Bi(an)isotropy, and Magnetoelectric Meta‐Atoms

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, 2023
AbstractMagnetoelectricity denotes the relationship between electric polarization and magnetization. In materials with an intrinsic magnetoelectric (ME) effect, the energy density comprises the polarization, magnetization, and ME energy densities. These three components of energy define local (subwavelength) characteristics of electromagnetic (EM ...

Magnetoelectric nonlinearity in magnetoelectric laminate sensors [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics, 2011
A nonlinearity in the magnetoelectric coefficient, αMENonlin, of Metglas/Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) and Metglas/Pb(Mg1/3,Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) laminate sensors has been observed. This nonlinearity was found to be dependent on the dc magnetic bias (Hdc) and frequency of the ac drive field (Hac).
