Magnetoelectric fractals, Magnetoelectric parametric resonance and Hopf bifurcation

open access: yesPhysica D: Nonlinear Phenomena
In the present work, we study the dynamics of a magnetic nanoparticle coupled through the magnetoelectric coupling to the ferroelectric crystal. The model of our interest is nonlinear, and we explore the problem under different limits of weak and strong linearity.

Magnetically-induced electric polarization in an organo-metallic magnet

open access: yes, 2009
The coupling between magnetic order and ferroelectricity has been under intense investigation in a wide range of transition-metal oxides. The strongest coupling is obtained in so-called magnetically-induced multiferroics where ferroelectricity arises ...

Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.

Magnetoelastic Coupling and Delta-E Effect in Magnetoelectric Torsion Mode Resonators

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Magnetoelectric resonators have been studied for the detection of small amplitude and low frequency magnetic fields via the delta-E effect, mainly in fundamental bending or bulk resonance modes.

Wireless Power Transfer Modalities for Implantable Bioelectronics: Electromagnetic, Acoustic, and Magneto‐Dynamic Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review traces the evolution of wireless power transfer (WPT) for implantable medical devices, spanning electromagnetic, magnetoelectric, acoustic, and magneto‐dynamic systems. Quantitative comparisons of power, distance, and device scale highlight trade‐offs across modalities, while emerging hybrid mechanisms reveal strategies to overcome ...

Complete Selective Switching of Ferroelastic Domain Stripes in Multiferroic Thin Films by Tip Scanning

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
BiFeO3 is a rare single‐phase multiferroic which shows coupled ferroelectricity, ferroelasticity and antiferromagnetism at room temperature. Many fantastic properties of BiFeO3 are regulated by its domain structure.

Magnetoelectric Effect in Ni-PZT-Ni Cylindrical Layered Composite Synthesized by Electro-deposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The magnetoelectric (ME) coupling of cylindrical trilayered composite was studied in this paper. The Ni-lead zirconate titanate (PZT)-Ni trilayered cylindrical composite was synthesized by electro-deposition.

Photonics of Topological Magnetic Textures

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Localized noncollinear magetic textures imprint their geometry and topology onto traversing photonic fields endowing them with orbital angular‐momentum, chirality, and magnetoelectric densities. Abstract Topological textures in magnetically ordered materials are an important case studies for fundamental research with promising applications in data ...

Cellulose-based magnetoelectric composites [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
AbstractSince the first magnetoelectric polymer composites were fabricated more than a decade ago, there has been a reluctance to use piezoelectric polymers other than poly(vinylidene fluoride) and its copolymers due to their well-defined piezoelectric mechanism and high piezoelectric coefficients that lead to superior magnetoelectric coefficients of ...
