Polar domain walls trigger magnetoelectric coupling [PDF]
AbstractInterface physics in oxides heterostructures is pivotal in material’s science. Domain walls (DWs) in ferroic systems are examples of naturally occurring interfaces, where order parameter of neighboring domains is modified and emerging properties may develop.

Revealing hidden magnetoelectric multipoles using Compton scattering
Magnetoelectric multipoles, which are odd under both space-inversion I and time-reversal T symmetries, are fundamental in understanding and characterizing magnetoelectric materials.

Realizing Magnetoelectric Coupling with Hydrogen Intercalation [PDF]
Materials with a coexistence of magnetic and ferroelectric order (i.e., multiferroics) provide an efficient route for the control of magnetism by electric fields. Unfortunately, a long-sought room temperature multiferroic with strongly coupled ferroelectric and ferromagnetic (or ferrimagnetic) orderings is still lacking.

Magnetoelectric Cavity Magnonics in Skyrmion Crystals
We present a theory of magnetoelectric magnon-photon coupling in cavities hosting noncentrosymmetric magnets. Analogously to nonreciprocal phenomena in multiferroics, the magnetoelectric coupling is time-reversal and inversion asymmetric.

Magnetoelectric Coupling Induced by Interfacial Orbital Reconstruction [PDF]
The magnetoelectric coupling effect with profound physics and enormous potential applications has provoked a great number of research activities in materials science. Here, we report that the reversible orbital reconstruction driven by ferroelectric polarization modulates the magnetic performance of ferroelectric ferromagnetic heterostructure.

Rational A-Site Entropy Engineering in Perovskites: Dual-Exchange Enhanced Magnetoelectric Coupling for Ultra-Efficient Microwave Absorption. [PDF]
Rational A‐site entropy engineering in perovskites induces dual‐exchange‐enhanced magnetoelectric coupling, achieving ultra‐efficient microwave absorption with superior reflection loss and broad bandwidth. Abstract High‐entropy engineering at the A‐site, combined with the variable valence states of Mn ions and diverse bonding configurations of ...

Magnetoelectric coupling at metal surfaces
Magnetoelectric coupling allows the magnetic state of a material to be changed by an applied electric field. To date, this phenomenon has mainly been observed in insulating materials such as complex multiferroic oxides. Bulk metallic systems do not exhibit magnetoelectric coupling, because applied electric fields are screened by conduction electrons ...
