THE USE OF THE OFF-DIAGONAL MAGNETOIMPEDANCE PHENOMENON TO BUILD SENSORS OF WEAK MAGNETIC FIELDS AND CURRENTS [PDF]
In the present work, the off-diagonal sensor design was advanced by utilising a complex waveform excitation produced by a microcontroller and applied to a multiple wire magnetoimpedance element.

Asymmetrical giant magnetoimpedance in exchange-biased NiFe
Linear asymmetrical magnetoimpedance (MI) has been obtained in thin multilayer strips of exchange-coupled FeNi(5 nm)/IrMn(15 nm)/FeNi(40 nm)/Cu(100 nm)/FeNi(40 nm)/IrMn(15 nm)/FeNi(5 nm), in which the MI response is enhanced by including a Cu layer between the two 40 nm NiFe layers.

Analysis of asymmetric property with DC bias current on thin-film magnetoimpedance element
We theoretically analyzed the magnetoimpedance profile of a thin-film element with a DC bias current using the bias susceptibility theory and Maxwell’s equations. Although the analysis model predicts that an element with a rectangular cross section shows

Diameter dependence of the giant magnetoimpedance in hard-drawn CoFeSiB amorphous wires
The as cast CoFeSiB amorphous wire with 135 mum was drawn out to wires with diameters of 84, 64, and 40 mum, respectively. The magnetoimpedance of the hard-drawn wires were investigated in comparison with the as cast one.

Magnetoimpedance in thulium manganese chalcogenide
Control of transport characteristics under the influence of a magnetic field is promising from the point of view of creating magnetic field sensors resistant to radiation. The impedance and its components in thulium manganese chalcogenide in the frequency range of 102–106 Hz are studied.
