Flexible magnetoimpedance sensor
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2015Abstract Flexible magnetoimpedance (MI) sensors fabricated using a NiFe/Cu/NiFe tri-layer on Kapton substrate have been studied. A customized flexible microstrip transmission line was employed to investigate the MI sensors's magnetic field and frequency responses and their dependence on the sensors's deflection.

Magnetoimpedance effect in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2001Abstract The magnetoimpedance effect has been observed in sintered La 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3 under low DC magnetic fields, H 0.7 Sr 0.3 MnO 3 upon application of a DC magnetic field may be connected with the variations of the penetration depth via the permeability.

Non-linear giant magnetoimpedance
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2002Abstract Very high and sensitive magnetoimpedance effect has been studied in FeCoNi magnetic tubes electroplated onto CuBe wire for the frequency of 1 MHz order. Strong non-linear effects have been observed. The high harmonics generation was investigated.

Dipolar-biased giant magnetoimpedance
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2005Abstract The effect of the dipolar field on the magnetoimpedance in Fe- and Co-based wires is presented. In the experiments a Co-based wire was used as a probe to measure the giant magnetoimpedance (GMI), while a Fe-based wire was employed to generate the dipolar field.

Magnetoimpedance of FeNi Thin Film Meanders
Solid State Phenomena, 2012The role of the geometrical parameters was studied for thin film based [FeNi (100 nm)/Cu (3 nm)]4/FeNi (100 nm)/Cu (500 nm)/[FeNi (100 nm)/Cu (3 nm)]4/FeNi (100 nm) magnetoimpedance elements with open magnetic flux prepared by lithography technique. The maximum magnetoimpedance sensitivity of 17 %/Oe was obtained for meander shaped sample, exceeding ...

Theory of longitudinal magnetoimpedance in wires
Journal of Applied Physics, 2000A theory of giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) in anisotropic magnetic wires is presented. The theory is valid over a broad field and frequency range. The emphasis is put on the GMI response in the low field region, where the wire is not saturated. The behavior of the wire may be described using three magnetic modes of mixed electromagnetic and spin wave ...

Abstract In the present work, the magnetoimpedance effects in the amorphous (Co0.85Fe0.06Cr0.02Ni0.07)75Si10B15 ribbon has been investigated. Results show that three frequency dependencies of the change ratios of magnetoimpedance, magnetoresistance and magnetoreactance intersect at a certain frequency where the change ratio of magnetoimpedance phase ...

Magnetoimpedance effect in semiconducting La0.4Sr0.6MnO3
Materials Science and Engineering: B, 2002Abstract In the present work, it was found that for La 0.4 Sr 0.6 MnO 3 , the dc resistance decreases with increasing temperature, from 77 to 280 K. Different from the case of metallic La 0.65 Sr 0.35 MnO 3 , the ac impedance of the semiconducting La 0.4 Sr 0.6 MnO 3 at room temperature decreases with increasing frequency, from 100 kHz to 12 MHz ...

Flexible thin film magnetoimpedance sensors
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2016Abstract Magnetically soft thin film deposited onto polymer substrates is an attractive option for flexible electronics including magnetoimpedance (MI) applications. MI FeNi/Ti based thin film sensitive elements were designed and prepared using the sputtering technique by deposition onto rigid and flexible substrates at different deposition rates ...

Giant magnetoimpedance in silicon steels
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2004Abstract Giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) has been measured in pieces of silicon steel (4.5% Si) as functions of axial static magnetic field, sample width, frequency and magnitude of the AC driving current. The samples, 0.5×35 mm with widths ranging from 0.122 to 1.064 mm, were cut from sheets of commercial transformer cores. The impedance decreased with
