Modeling of asymmetric giant magnetoimpedance in amorphous ribbons with a surface crystalline layer
A model describing the asymmetric giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) in field-annealed amorphous ribbons is proposed. It is assumed that the ribbon consists of an inner amorphous core and surface hard magnetic crystalline layers.

Effect of multilayer structure parameters on magnetoimpedance ratio with low frequency measurements
The magneto-impedance of the NiFe thin films is experimentally dependent on their structure. The multilayer structures of [NiFe/Cu]4 and [NiFe/Cu]2/Cu/[NiFe/Cu]2 on the meander structure PCB Cu substrate in this study were deposited using the ...

High Sensitivity Magnetic Sensors Based on Off-diagonal Magnetoimpedance in Amorphous FeCoSiB Wires [PDF]
The magnetoimpedance (MI) effect has a potential for the development of high performance magnetic sensors. For sensor applications, off-diagonal configuration is preferable when the MI element is excited by ac current and the output is detected from the ...

On Influence of Magnetic Fields and Excitation Conditions on the Magnetization Distribution in Microwire Magnetoimpedance Element [PDF]
One of important condition for the successful development of effective magnetic field sensors based on amorphous ferromagnetic microwires is to identify factors affecting the reversal processes in the surface layer of the magnetoimpedance wire. In

The magnetoimpedance effect allows us to estimate the extent of spin dependent scattering in disordered solids. The change in impedance with respect to applied magnetic field manifests through local change in permeability on the surface and it amplifies ...
