Stress‐to‐Light Conversion in an Earth‐Abundant Oxide Semiconductor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stress‐to‐light conversion in solids represents a unique photonic functionality, yet it has never been realized in a chemically simple and sustainable material. Here, we show that sustainable semiconductor ZnO exhibits strong near‐infrared (NIR) luminescence under elastic stress when defect‐engineered to stabilize the p‐type state.

New limit on Lorentz and CPT-violating neutron spin interactions

open access: yes, 2010
We performed a search for neutron spin coupling to a Lorentz and CPT-violating background field using a magnetometer with overlapping ensembles of K and $^3$He atoms.

QUARTZ MAGNETOMETER-GRADIOMETER

open access: yesThemed collection of papers from Foreign international scientific conference «Joint innovation - joint development». by HNRI «National development» in cooperation with PS of UA. February 2024. - Cuangzhou (China)
The work is devoted to the description of the design of a magnetometer-gradiometer created on the basis of quartz sensors, which has the ability to carry out synchronous measurements at two points spaced apart in space on a fixed or arbitrarily located "measuring base" ∆L with different distances of these measuring points from each other. The device is

Atomically Modulating Competing Exchange Interactions in Centrosymmetric Skyrmion Hosts GdRu2X2 (X = Si and Ge)

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Our work bridges the gap between skyrmion discovery and material design by demonstrating how atomic‐scale control of exchange interactions enables tunable skyrmion phase transitions in centrosymmetric magnetic metals. ABSTRACT Magnetic skyrmions are topologically protected spin states that hold promise for shaping the future of electronics.

Automatic Determination of Validity of Input Data Used in Ellipsoid Fitting MARG Calibration Algorithms

open access: yesSensors, 2013
Ellipsoid fitting algorithms are widely used to calibrate Magnetic Angular Rate and Gravity (MARG) sensors. These algorithms are based on the minimization of an error function that optimizes the parameters of a mathematical sensor model that is ...

Ferromagnetic Resonance Response of bcc Fe60V40 Layers Generated from Short‐Range Ordered Precursors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Layers of body‐centered cubic (bcc) Fe60V40 are generated in short‐range ordered (SRO) Fe60V40 precursors through atomic displacements caused by the irradiation of light noble gas ions. The structural change leads to the onset of ferromagnetism confined to the bcc layers. Here, the variation of ferromagnetic resonance response as a function of
