Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

The 3rd‐generation magnetic super‐stable mineralizer M‐MgAl‐700 features a core‐shell structure, strong superparamagnetism, large surface area, and abundant oxygen defects. It achieves exceptional Cd(II) and As(V) mineralization capacities, reducing both pollutants in co‐contaminated water and soil to meet national standards.

Hypervelocity dust particle impacts observed by the Giotto Magnetometer and Plasma Experiments
We report thirteen very short events in the magnetic field of the inner magnetic pile‐up region of comet Halley observed by the Giotto magnetometer experiment together with simultaneous plasma data obtained by the Johnstone plasma analyzer and the ion ...

Stress‐to‐Light Conversion in an Earth‐Abundant Oxide Semiconductor
Stress‐to‐light conversion in solids represents a unique photonic functionality, yet it has never been realized in a chemically simple and sustainable material. Here, we show that sustainable semiconductor ZnO exhibits strong near‐infrared (NIR) luminescence under elastic stress when defect‐engineered to stabilize the p‐type state.

Magnetometer surveys in archaeological research in Papua New Guinea: Keveoki 1, Gulf Province [PDF]
A magnetometer survey was conducted on the abandoned village site of Keveoki 1, near the Vailala River, Gulf Province, PNG. The survey, using a single sensor proton precession magnetometer, was successful in locating and defining the boundaries of areas ...

Quantum Photothermal Self‐Monitoring Fiber Probes for In Vivo Photothermal Therapy
A miniaturized quantum photothermal fiber probe based on a metal/polymer/glass composite optoelectronic fiber that simultaneously guides lightwave and microwave was developed for the first time. The probe achieves enhanced photothermal conversion (13°C/mW, 25°C–120°C range) while providing real‐time self‐monitoring with 0.2°C thermal resolution at the ...

Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...
