Processing of DMSP magnetic data: Handbook of programs, tapes, and datasets [PDF]
The DMSP F-7 satellite was an operational Air Force meteorological satellite which carried a magnetometer for geophysical measurements. The magnetometer was located within the body of the spacecraft in the presence of large spacecraft fields. In addition

ABSTRACT Below the classical fortress of Samikon at the coast of the western Peloponnese, ancient writer Strabo mentioned a sanctuary of Poseidon which served as the centre of the religious association of the Triphylian cities. In this paper, we describe the discovery and investigation of a building structure by means of geophysical and ...

Transition metal (TM) ions with empty eg orbitals induce single‐electron delocalization in Ni3+ to form the resonance structure of Ni─OO─TM through the high‐entropy effect. High‐nickel cathode materials with electron resonance structure have the advantages of improving thermodynamic stability, suppressing phase transitions, and mitigating lattice ...

We report a modular spin crossover‐photoluminescence (SCO‐PL) system: heteroleptic, mononuclear Fe(II) coordination compounds bearing equatorial BODIPY fluorophores that exhibit synergistic PL response upon spin state switching. Exchanging apical nitrile co‐ligands tunes electronic and structural properties, giving precise control over the SCO and PL ...

GSFC magnetic field experiment Explorer 43 [PDF]
The magnetic field experiment flown on Explorer 43 is described. The detecting instrument is a triaxial fluxgate magnetometer which is mounted on a boom with a flipping mechanism for reorienting the sensor in flight.

ABSTRACT Hexanuclear cyclic Gd(III) coordination compounds are promising candidates for magnetic and magnetocaloric applications, yet systematic series remain rare due to synthetic challenges. We report the synthesis and characterization of five new complexes with the general formula [Gd(H3bt)(carboxylate)]6, employing four different carboxylate ...

A2.4Cr8Te14$A_{2.4}{\rm Cr}_{8}{\rm Te}_{14}$ (A = Rb, Cs) compounds exhibit a layered, ladder‐like Cr‐Te framework uniting structural motives of hollandite‐like and delafossite‐like phases. Alkali atoms are situated both in the interlayer space and tunnels within the Cr8Te14${\rm Cr}_{8}{\rm Te}_{14}$ framework.

Searching for magnetic monopoles trapped in accelerator material at the Large Hadron Collider
If produced in high energy particle collisions at the LHC, magnetic monopoles could stop in material surrounding the interaction points. Obsolete parts of the beam pipe near the CMS interaction region, which were exposed to the products of pp and heavy ...
