Event-based vision in magneto-optic Kerr effect microscopy
Magneto-optic Kerr effect (MOKE) microscopy is a widely used technique for observation and characterization of microscopic magnetic structures. While being efficient and easy-to-use, current commercial MOKE microscopes are not superb in time resolution ...

Emulation of magneto-optic Faraday effect using ultracold atoms
We propose an arresting scheme for emulating the famous Faraday effect in ultracold atomic gases. Inspired by the similarities between the light field and bosonic atoms, we represent the light propagation in medium by the atomic transport in accompany of

Multiphoton Magnetooptical Trap [PDF]
We demonstrate a magnetooptical trap (MOT) configuration which employs optical forces due to light scattering between electronically excited states of the atom. With the standard MOT laser beams propagating along the x and y directions, the laser beams along the z direction are at a different wavelength that couples two sets of excited states.

Application of Wafer Direct Bonding Technique to Optical Nonreciprocal Devices
A wafer direct bonding technique enables one to integrate dissimilar crystals like a magnetooptic garnet on Si and III–V semiconductors, which facilitates fabrication of optical nonreciprocal devices on commonly used waveguide platforms.

Solidly mounted resonator (SMR) magnetoelectric (ME) antennas at 1.75 GHz are successfully fabricated, exhibiting an antenna gain of −18.8 dBi and a 1 dB compression point (P1dB) of 30.4 dBm. The 23.3 dB higher power handling capability than same‐size thin‐flm bulk resonator ME antenna significantly enhances robustness; manageable complementary metal ...

Extreme anti-reflection enhanced magneto-optic Kerr effect microscopy
Magneto-optic Kerr effect microscopy is useful for dynamic magnetic studies, but is limited by the weak magneto-optical activity. Here, the authors show that extreme anti-reflection result in a Kerr amplitude as large as 20° and enables real-time ...

Magnetic Circularly Polarized Luminescence of Organic Compounds
Magnetic circularly polarized luminescence (MCPL) is the phenomenon through which non‐chiral compound emit circularly polarized light under a magnetic field. Potentialities and limitations of MCPL from organic compounds are discussed. Abstract Achiral purely organic molecules can show selectivity towards circularly polarized light in emission in the ...
